Interesting Things To Do In Denver

One of the best ways to see Denver is with a hire bus from Bus Charter Denver. Denver is proud of its location in the Rocky Mountains, wearing its nickname “Mile High Denver” with pride. Starting as a small mining supply town, Denver grew with the discovery of gold and silver deposits. When the mineral deposits ran out, Denver entered a fallow period. During the 80s, the realization that Denver lay almost exactly halfway between Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco turned it into an important distribution and warehousing center for many retail operations. Today, Denver is a vibrant city, placing an importance on sports and outdoor activities such as skiing and climbing.
Within Denver, there are several places that you should visit. Bus Charter Denver has charter vehicles to meet your groups’ transport needs, making it easy to move around Denver. One of your first stops should be the Colorado State Capitol. Stand on the marker on the west steps, and you will be exactly one mile (5,280 feet) above sea level. After that, climb the rotunda for an unparalleled view of the surrounding Rocky Mountains.
Next, head down to the U.S. Mint, where the shiny, jangling change in your pocket comes from. Producing over 50 million coins a day, each coin is stamped with a little ‘D’, denoting that it came from Denver. Tours are free, and show visitors every step in the process of turning a blank metal slug into a shiny quarter. The Mint is a popular tourist destination, so reservations are recommended.
If you like people watching, stop by the 16th Street Pedestrian Mall. Designed by famous architect I.M. Pei, the mall contains 28 cafes, and is designed to resemble the pattern of a diamondback rattlesnake. When night falls, horse drawn carriages are available for rides up and down the mall.
Colorado is famous for its beer brewing history. Leaving aside the more famous commercial brands, visit the LoDo historic district for a sampling of of beers from over 90 brewpubs, sports bars, rooftop restaurants and cafes. You can also get a button down western shirt from Rockmount Ranchwear, where they were invented.

Spend your winter skiing in Aspen

Winter has come upon us and the best thing about that is the snow. And the best thing to do when it’s snowing is to make snowmen, get into snowball fights and of course, go skiing! One of the most famous skiing resorts in the world is undoubtedly Aspen and always ready for your bus charter visitors! At 3 hours 45 minutes from Denver, one of the best ways to get to Aspen is via a rented party bus or mini bus with Bus Rental Denver.
Located in Pitkin County, Colorado, just outside and above the city of Aspen on the north flank of Aspen Mountain, the ski resort takes its name after the abundant Aspen tress in the vicinity. Bring the rented bus charter over to find out more about how it was founded in 1946 as the first ski area venture of the Aspen Skiing Company founded by Walter Paepcke, it is today one of four adjacent ski areas operated by the company as part of the Aspen/ Snowmass complex.
The ski area is located within the White River National Forest and is operated under permit from the U.S. Forest Service and it has three restaurants on the mountain, two are on top of the mountain with one of them being a member’s only club and the other one is located mid-mountain.
When the Aspen Ski Resort began operations on December 14, 1946, it was the longest chairlift in the world and many of the first employees were veterans of the famed 10th Mountain Division, who trained at Camp Hale. One of the these veterans was Freidl Pfeifer of Austria and Pete Seibert. Pfeifer had headed the ski school at Sun Valley before the war and Seibert was a member of the Aspen ski patrol that would later found Vail Mountain.
The area's lifts include 1 high-speed quad, 1 high-speed double, 2 quads, and 3 doubles. When you are there for your shuttle bus rental holiday with kids, friends and family, get a hang on taking the gondola which is one of two lifts, along with the Little Nell chairlift, which ascends from Gondola Plaza in the heart of the downtown Aspen in a configuration that allows visitors to ascend the mountain from the center of town, and ski down the Little Nell Run back into town.
Up until January 2001 Aspen lifted its long-time ban on snowboarding but as a courtesy to season-pass holders, the resort was not officially opened to snowboarders until April 1, 2001. Since then, snowboarders and skiers alike have carved up the mountain’s various runs, the longest being 3 miles (4.8 km) with a lift capacity of 10,755 riders per hour. The mountain is considered moderate-to-difficult with no "green" (beginner) runs and novice skiers must go to Snowmass, Buttermilk, or Aspen Highlands. Whether you are here with friends or alone, the ride to and from this massive holiday resort will leave you breathless even after you have gotten back safely in the warmth of the rented charter bus.
The season on the mountain ranges from late November to early April and the ski area enjoys a unique "homespun" culture that dates from its early foundation as part of the Utopian social experiment in Aspen created by Walter Paepcke in the 1940s. So throw back your inhibitions this winter, wax those skis, dust off your cold weather gear and book your ticket to a holiday of carving on virgin snow in the wilderness of Denver with Bus Rental Denver.
